WELCOME TO UMOYA PHOTOGRAPHY – Horsham Photographer capturing genuine moments, creating beautiful emotive images.
Umoya: Meaning “Spirit” in Xhosa.
From the African language Xhosa, Umoya is translated as “Spirit”. I chose the name since some African cultures believe that the spirit is literally captured by a photo… By adopting a lifestyle approach to photographing weddings, families and events, this is what I strive to achieve in capturing the spirit of the moments between the moments… resulting in natural candid images.
My particular style lends itself well to covering many genres of photography – I am a Horsham photographer covering Family Photography, Newborn Photography, and Weddings & Events.
I photograph with an unobtrusive lifestyle approach, to naturally capture genuine emotions and candid moments.

For Events, I adopt a more fly-on-the-wall photojournalistic style, in order to naturally capture the day or evening as it happens, presenting you with true irreplaceable memories.
I believe that a portrait should capture the essence of you and what makes you special. My family photography sessions aim to create a carefree, fun experience that will bring out the best in you and your family. The result is memories that are unique and personal which you would be proud to display in your home.
As a mother myself, I understand that great photos happen when children are allowed to run, be spirited and free – quite often I get the best photos from moments that they aren’t even aware of the camera.
Newborn sessions capture the true essence of you and your new addition adjusting to the babymoon period.
Photographing both indoors and outdoors on location, I cover Horsham, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and beyond.
I am a Mom of two boys, a furbaby and all-round juggler, balancing my time between family, home life and my creative outlet. Whilst my home is in Horsham, as a mobile location photographer I cover Sussex, Surrey and surrounding areas, and happy to travel further with reasonable fuel compensation.
This time every year the Rabie household undergoes the usual festive transformation, the boys are enjoying participating in the elves’ hilarities, and we’re cosying up by the fire with mulled wine….NOT THIS YEAR! Limited Offer This Monday 10th December we

Below are some kind words from some of my previous clients and families. For me it is all about the memories and capturing the moment, which is at the heart of the Umoya experience.
