I have been asked many times whether I photograph newborns – my reply has always been yes, but with a different style to what everyone is accustomed to.  In this blog post I explain my own style and how I approach newborn sessions, and I was overjoyed when a client took a chance on me based on the information I had provided.
Here are the results from their at-home session:

The morning went amazingly well – everyone was relaxed, and baby D surprised us all at 14 days new by pulling a few smiles out the bag! He is adored by his big sister Z, and we made sure we included her. What better way to pass the time whilst baby is feeding, than playing peekaboo with Dad…
Of course we had to document the tiny details, as the Newborn stage is sadly over so quickly!

Baby D was so chilled – I like to think the zero-stress environment helped! I have always maintained that babies and children feel more at ease in their own surroundings, and I think it showed.
I have so enjoying editing these images, and I look forward to being able to show them to upcoming Newborn enquiries!
